When Oasis of the Seas® first set out in 2009, it changed the way passengers thought about cruise ships, thanks to defining onboard features such as the first zip line at sea, the AquaTheater and seven unique neighborhoods.

Now, following a $165 million port-to-bow transformation, Oasis is changing the game yet again when she sets sail across the Caribbean starting in November 2019. New thrills, new areas, new restaurants and more will entertain and delight all those who board for 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries over the winter.

In May 2020, Oasis will then sail north to wow a new set of passengers on 7-night sailings to The Bahamas departing from New York. Not only do these itineraries include sea days, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the new onboard features, but they also visit Royal Caribbean’s newly opened private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

So what are all of these game-changing new addition to Oasis of the Seas®? We’re glad you asked. Here are the highlights you’ll love when you step foot onboard.

New Slides

If you love to go “whoosh” down twisting, turning, thrilling slides, then Oasis is the ship for you. The newly refurbished ship now includes the Ultimate AbyssSM, a serpentine, 216-foot dry slide that sends you racing from deck 16 to deck 6 in 13 seconds flat. You’ll also find The Perfect StormSM, a trio of waterslides that are super-fun for you and your crew to race each other on.

New Pool Area

Royal Caribbean brought the beauty and tranquility of the tropics to the pool area, creating a Caribbean-inspired pool deck with inspiring ocean views. Younger passengers will head straight to Splashaway Bay to enjoy waterslides, water cannons and playful fountains, while others will head to The Lime & Coconut to relax with a Caribbean cocktail.

New Cuisine

Whatever you crave, Oasis of the Seas serves it up deliciously. New eateries and restaurants include Portside BBQ, where America’s most popular barbecue styles go head-to-head; El Loco Fresh, home to savory Mexican “street fare;” and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, where you can feast on sliders and craft brews while cheering on your favorite teams.

New Music

Music lovers will find plenty of reason to tap your toes while onboard. At Spotlight Karaoke, you can belt out classics on the main stage or in a private room. For those who would rather listen to pros than show off their amateur pipes, the Music Hall is a new venue to dance to cover bands or shoot some pool while the band plays on.

New Activities

Boredom is simply never an option on any Royal Caribbean ship, especially so on the new Oasis of the Seas. New onboard activities that will light your Instagram page on fire include a glow-in-the-dark laser tag game called Clash for the Crystal City, as well as a new Royal Escape Room, Mission Control: Apollo 18, which will transport you back to 1973 to solve mind-bending puzzles before time runs out.
